Some heroes just drink their failures away and keep trying till they succeed. We aren’t saying all drinkers are geniuses (we secretly believe in that though), but at least half of the world’s smartest, most creative and intelligent people love alcohol as much as we do. Don’t believe us? Read on to know about the legends who lived for, and loved liquor.

Benjamin Franklin: In case the name doesn’t ring a bell, know that he’s a very important historical figure who instigated the French to join hands with the colonists to fight the British. Apart from being such an integral part of world history, this legend is still remembered for his love for a drink called ‘Madeira.’ He loved this oxidized and brilliantly fermented wine so much, that we are pretty damn sure he made all those crucial decisions while drinking it.

Ernest Hemingway: His stories were as deep as we could imagine, and his looks were as macho as it gets. Turns out this literary genius was a ‘minty’ drink person. He liked his poison the Mojito way. We must admit that his go-to recipe was quite bang on. We have got it right here for you:
6 fresh Mint leaves
Juice of 1 lime
2 tsp light brown sugar
1-1/2 oz. white rum, 3 oz. champagne
Sprig of fresh mint to garnish. Try it today!

Humphrey Bogart: Casablanca star Bogart is a treat to look at on screen, and a glass of scotch on the rocks looked like perfection in his hands. Turns out, this wasn’t just onscreen chemistry. He loved scotch quite a bit, and believed that it kept him healthy. Well, we wish that it’s true too.

Winston Churchill: Genius, billionaire, philanthropist. Guess what Winston Churchill and Tony Stark had in common? All of the above. They even shared their unconditional love for one more thing – Scotch. Guess what this iconic leader loved having with his breakfast? Yep, it was Scotch Whisky with water. This man literally took a nation that is fighting against Nazi Germany ahead. I think he deserved a drink or a hundred, whenever he needed. #IronManFTW

Pablo Picasso: Picasso redefined art. All his works are considered masterpieces, and his techniques were just flawless. And we love him even more because he adored Absinthe as much as the internet loves the Monalisa memes. He actually has a painting called ‘The Absinthe Drinker’. Such dedication, much wow!
