5 Bars In Mumbai That Are Blessed With Amazing DJ’s

Gaurang B - March 22, 2017

Let’s face it, we all love music! But here we’re talking about the music that we listen to in Mumbai bars. I’m not talking about the USB drive that every joe-schmo has on their laptop before plugging it into a speaker system. I’m talking about an actual real life DJ running the set at these joints. So what are some great spots to enjoy a drink and listen to some great tunes?

Hard Rock Cafe – Of course, this had to be on the list! They have the best DJs on Friday’s playing some really good classic, indie rock and metal songs. The one at Andheri has the best appeal, so hop on and enjoy the sweet songs of a past generation in the world of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. Pop isn’t music people! Unless it’s Sia of course.

True Tramm Trunk (Juhu) – So this place has Bollywood on Wednesdays, which isn’t all that bad to be honest. But you know if it’s a diverse crowd in Mumbai, then it’s a diverse beat, which is why I really commend these guys for taking care of that. You can hear some great Western music playing over the weekends, and some amazing mixing abilities by the DJ’s there.

F-Bar & Lounge (Lower Parel) – So this place is upscale and snooty, and they sometimes have some not so great EDM junkies who run up the place to the ground, but if you’re a fan of this type of techno-esque music, then this is a great place to be. I’ve seen the crowd, literally like zombies, sway left and right to the DJ’s that perform here. These guys come down from US, Ireland, Ibiza, and god knows what other country to F-Bar to perform.

Dishkiyaoon (BKC) – This place has pure Bollywood on most nights, and really really good music. Their dance floor is usually packed, which is surprising because it isn’t that big. So I’m thinking to myself, hey, so many bars in Mumbai have dance floors that people hardly ever use. One-word – Ambiance.

Harry’s (Juhu) – Harry’s taste of classic and fusion music is seriously unmatched. I’ve been to a lot of bars, and Harry’s always has the best music. Not the best food, not the best décor, or the best staff, but damn it kills it with its music every single time. We’ve celebrated many first-time meetings here, and the music always breaks the ice.
