I’m actually pretty experimental when it comes to alcohol, I’ll try anything and everything at least once but sometimes, even I have my doubts. There seem to be an endless amount of strange, unusual flavours being brought together for the love of liquor, most of them actually work and some make you think ‘why’. But who knows, you might find your staple in this list filled with really strange flavoured alcohol.
Tomato wine
Omerto is Canada’s answer to no demand whatsoever for tomato wine. But they made it and it became quite popular after its launch. It’s made from a top secret recipe for the aperitif wine has been passed down four generations and might just be a diamond in the rough.
Naga Chilli vodka
Tough luck if you can’t handle your spice because this vodka is made with Naga chillies, some of the spiciest peppers in the world. Named 500,000 Scovilles Naga Chilli Vodka which is pretty damn descriptive, this vodka is made by The Hot Enough Company. As if vodka didn’t burn enough, here you’ll be holding back tears and possibly even choking. Try it at your own risk, folks.
Bacon vodka
Now this one I can get behind. I’ve eaten bacon alongside a lot of liquor so I’m guessing bacon flavoured vodka can’t be all that bad (or it could ruin bacon for you forever). Bakon Vodka is a potato vodka and is column-distilled so you don’t lose out on its flavours. I’m #TeamBakon, and you?
Pizza beer
Another foodie’s dream, Mama Mia! Pizza Beer needs to get out from behind this computer screen and down my throat ASAP. The creators use actual, real pizza so you know it’s authentic. Yes, a Margherita pizza is made and then brewed with hops and spices to achieve this strange yet glorious creation.
Grass liqueur
I don’t know about you but I’ve NEVER looked at grass and thought, hmm… I wonder how that’d taste as a vodka liqueur. But Oddka made it anyway. Yep, actual grass flavoured alcohol which some users describe as citrusy and not bad at all. Oh, by the way, look up other stuff by Oddka – including their Electricity-flavoured liqueur as well (I’m not kidding).
